Dole
:
A town whose today’s profile was moulded from the 16th
till the 18th century. For centuries, Dole was the
administrative and jurisdictional centre of Franche-Comté.
Moreover, it is Louis Pasteur’s home-town.
Gray

This
town was built on the banks of the river Saône.
Its inner harbour gained importance during the 19th
century, but by now has developed into a marina.
